SoChange is committed to your privacy. All personal information that we gather, such as addresses, contact details, and other details such as age and occupation, has been volunteered by individuals themselves. Although we do collect macro-level data from technological sources, such as website statistics and IP addresses, on our own accord, such information does not provide us specific insight on the user of that technology, i.e. the website visitor or IP address owner. With specific regard to our website: although we may collect “cookies” to maximize it’s performance and provide a better experience for it’s viewers, visitors have the ability to disable this function.

The limited information gathered by SoChange is used solely in ways that expand our capacity as an organization, which translates into benefits on the part of our clients. As an organization that specializes in tasks such as event planning, fundraising, and marketing, we rely on broad demographic information in order to ensure quality service provision. We will never provide individual details to third parties without prior consent, except when required to by legal authorities.

SoChange sends regularly scheduled bulk e-mail messages to its mailing list, with the purpose of informing individuals of potentially interesting campaigns and events that we are administering. These e-mails contain a link enabling recipients to opt themselves out of further correspondence; alternatively, they may contact tom@sochange.ca to have themselves removed.

We do not claim responsibility for the privacy-related practices of these sites; this includes our blogs and social networking sites, which, despite being representative of SoChange in name, are administered by unaffiliated bodies.
