Alex K. Lam, Ph.D., MTS MRAIC Fellow ICIAD, President, The OCB Network

Alex is president of The OCB Network, a Toronto-based global consultancy helping organizations to transform their business to meet the new operatives of harmonizing technology and humans.

Before establishing his own company in 1995 his career includes 23 years with Bell Canada as General Manager - Facilities where he was responsible for over 2250 corporate real estate locations with a staff of 379 professionals operating with an annual budget of $70 million covering over 12 million square feet of facility space.

 

 

Colin Bales, CMA

Colin, CFO of The Central Group in Mississauga, has been a packaging industry executive since 2000, prior to which he spent 6 years in commercial lending in Canada and the USA. He has been married to his wife Cathy for 15 years and together they have 4 children aged six to twelve.

Colin has spent time in the developing world and has been deeply touched and moved into action by the need and opportunity he has faced there. Colin and Cathy have a love for writing and performing music and are currently working on their second CD entitled "From Here".

 

 

Doreen E. Harvey

Doreen Harvey is an independent human resources (HR) consultant having begun her own practice in 1994. Doreen works closely with her clients to help align their human resources strategy to their business and organizational objectives. She is particularly accomplished in HR strategic planning, leadership training, compensation and benefits, performance management, and change management and has developed the required strategic programs and communication tools for her clients.

As Vice President, Human Resources and a member of the Senior Management Team at Sanyo Canada Inc., Doreen developed the HR strategy and related programs and played a key role in the redesign of the organization. During her time with Northern Telecom, Doreen was involved in numerous change management initiatives, compensation and incentive program redesign and organizational restructuring. Doreen has served on various Boards of Directors and taught in the Business Faculty of Sheridan College for a number of years. She is currently a member of the Strategic Capability Network.

Doreen holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree from The Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario. Doreen and her husband, Rob, have two children and live in Oakville, ON.

 

 

Jack Kiervin

With over three decades of investment experience in the financial industry, Jack is regarded as one of the pioneers of merchant banking in Canada.

Jack's extensive experience as chair and member of various public and private company boards affords him a depth of corporate governance and leadership expertise that is conducive to the successful growth of young entrepreneurial-driven companies through to liquidity. He has been instrumental to the success of Jefferson portfolio companies including Quack.com (acquired by AOL), iStar (IPO, acquired by PSINET), Wescam (IPO, acquired by L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL)), and Applied Terravision (acquired by CGI).

Jack is dedicated to social change and serves on the board of a number of charitable organizations including Tyndale College, International Prison Fellowship, as well as his own charitable foundation
